Travel Instructions
The
Telecommunications Laboratory
and the Telecommunications Institues I and II are located in
Erlangen,
a town 20 km north of
Nürnberg
(Nuremberg) in the southern part of
Germany,
more precisely in the northern part of
Bayern (Bavaria).

You can travel by
-
Car:
You can take highways number
- A3 (from directions München or
Würzburg):
Leave highway A3 at exit Tennenlohe and drive direction north,
Erlangen.
Then, the next exit: Universität Südgelände,
and turn imediately left, direction Erlangen or
Südgelände, respectively. After approx. 2 km
turn left: Cauerstraße. T
he LNT is located in the building with yellow
window frames, Cauerstraße 7.
- A73 (from directions Nürnberg or
Bamberg):
Leave highway A73 at exit Erlangen-Bruck and drive direction
Nürnberg. Follow the Paul-Gossen-Straße until you leave
Erlangen. Here, take the exit to Südgelände or
Gräfenberg, respectively. Turn left, and again left
into Cauerstraße. The LNT is located in the building with yellow
window frames, Cauerstraße 7.

Train:
Take a train to Erlangen Hauptbahnhof ( central station).
To get to the campus you can take a
- Bus:
Right in front of the train station leaves,
among other lines, bus line number 287.
Take this line direction Sebaldussiedlung.
Leave the bus at stop Technische Fakultät.
- Taxi:
Simply request for the "Technische Fakultät
(campus of Engineering Sciences, also known as
Südgelände / south campus), Cauerstr. 7.

Plane:
You arrive at Nürnberg airport (code: NUE).
To get to the campus you can take a
- Rental car:
Follow the signs Erlangen. After crossing the highway A3 at
exit Tennenlohe follow the respective instructions (see above).
- Taxi:
Simply request for the Technische Fakultät
( campus of Engineering Sciences), University
Erlangen, Cauerstr. 7. Costs are around 50 DM.
- Underground + Train:
It is possible to take the Underground ("U-Bahn") for
Nürnberg Central Station,
then take a train from Nürnberg Central Station to
Erlangen.
